I have finally found a way to display my images in a way that I'm happy with... extremely happy!
I experimented with several types of canvas but eventually discovered Innova Photo Ultra Gloss which is absolutely brilliant.
After more trial and error I decided to use the Standard Stretcher Bars, which have a depth of only 18mm. I prefer these to the deeper bars as not so much of the photo is lost in the wrap around and they are less 'bulky' on the wall! Plus not so heavy as the deep bars.
The beauty of a canvas print is:
- It's ready to hang.
- No decisions to make about mounting and framing.
- Lightweight: Just a small nail is sufficient for hanging.
- Superb finish, really brings an image to life.
- Will last a lifetime, with the use of quality inks of course!
A note about the ink!
I have an Epson professional stylus pro, A2 printer. I only ever use the Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment inks which produce exceptional light fastness. Never cheap substitutes!
Prices range from £30 to £75 at present, according to size. Ranging from 12" x 8" to 14" x 32".
Sizes:
Any of my prints can be produced onto canvas at a size to suit! From an 8"x12" costing £30 to a 14"x22" costing £65.
